The following entry from SCO's IT database may be of general interest.

Can't install SCO XENIX on PS/2 machine with an IBM SCSI hard disk.
KEYWORDS: efs xenix install scsi hard disk interface ps2 ibm 70 80
RELEASE: SCO XENIX 386 Operating System Release 2.3.2 for computers based on
Micro Channel Architecture (MCA)
PROBLEM: I have an IBM PS/2 Model 70, 80, with a SCSI controller from IBM and
am unable to install SCO XENIX 386 Operating System Release 2.3.2.
SOLUTION: There is an EFS available from telesales that allows installation
of PS2/70, 80's on IBM's SCSI adapter. It is also available from
sosco in the directory /usr/spool/uucppublic/EFS. There are two
diskettes in the distribution, an N1 and a Link Volume. On sosco
there are three files that must be downloaded. They are:
efs100.link.Z efs100.n1.Z efs100.ltr
NOTE: There is a similar EFS for SCO UNIX System V/386. See
another article in this database for further information.
The letter that accompanies the EFS for SCO XENIX follows:
Installation Notes for IBM SCSI Extensions to SCO XENIX Operating System
Release 2.3.2 for computers based on Micro Channel Architecture (MCA).
Contents: IBM SCSI Extensions to SCO XENIX volume N1 (boot)
IBM SCSI Extensions to SCO XENIX volume LINK
Installation Notes (this document)
Requires: SCO XENIX Operating System Release 2.3.2 or later
Root hard disk to be configured as SCSI id 6
[installation instructions deleted]
