$$ Reward, EXAbyte

I'am sure, that my employer would pay a reasonable reward to anyone,
who will lead us to workable solution of the following problem :
An EXAbyte 8 mm Tape device (with SCSI-Interface) must be driven by
a SCO Xenix System (or else SCO UNIX, but Xenix is preferred for now on).
The major difficulty is, that we must be able to read and write
blocks of 16 kBytes size as continuous physical tape records.
So the raw device driver must not use 'physio' to fragment a
write- or a read-Systemcall into several smaller requests to the device.
We have tried Adaptec 1542A, 1542B. We 'v also applied a recent
driver update ('xnx_scsi_drv.Z'). Nothing work's at all.
A third party product (SCSI-Controller with included SCO Xenix
Device Driver) will not work with blocks of more than 4kBytes.
Any help appreciated, Peter.
