Some folks who were having difficulty getting the summary of info on
putting the home PC on the internet sent me mail, so I checked and
sure enough, the file server had gone down in flames Monday morning.
So here's the scoop: requests that were received between 7am and noon
PST 28 Jan 1991 have been lost. The rest will be shipped tonight. I
would advise waiting until tomorrow before sending another request --
longer if your mail is typically delayed by a day. This file server
doesn't notice multiple requests, so you're liable to get multiple
copies.
Please send me any bizarre responses you get from the file server; I'm
putting together a bug report.
For those who missed it the first time, you can get the summary by
sending a message to <fileserv at max.berkeley.edu> with a line in the
body of the message that says "sendme ip_hookup".
