What is it, how do I get it, etc...

[Just Insane.]

We are interested in possibly getting Xenix for our 386's. It seems as if
there is a base package, and an extended package(for a considerable amount 
more)  could someone explain the differences?  Also, if it is as I expected 
and the basic package does not include a C compiler, then what is the base
package used for?
