Adaptec ACH-154* SCSI Controllers

Following up on my previous posting concerning the Adaptec SCSI
controller as sold by Tandy, the controller is a ACH-1540 which is SCSI
only.  It is currently being sold at $349.00, but listed in their new
catalog at $499.00.

I mentioned that the price ($349.00) was a very good price, and that I
felt it was very close to the current wholesale price.  Well, I was
almost right, following up this am I find that the following wholesale
prices are in effect:

	ACH-1540	$299.00
	ACH-1542	$325.00

The 1542 is a combination SCSI/Floppy controller.

So, I stand by my original comment.  If you need/want this controller I
recommend that you seek out your local Tandy store and purchase it ASAP
before they update their price lists.

I am, needless to say, not affiliated with Tandy/Radio Shack in any way,
just another consumer trying to save a buck.
