readnews under Xenix86

Has anyone managed to get readnews and rn up on Xenix86.  I've been trying to
get v2.11 of readnews up with no success -- it seems I've got problems with
the memory model.  Anyone have any tips.  Makefiles and the info on defs.h
and localize.sh would be appreciated.
