SyQuest disk on XENIX ?

I'm currently thinking about buying a SyQuest 44MB exchangable SCSI hard
disk for my XENIX 386 2.3.2 system. I'm being offered an Adaptec 1542
controller to go with it, but I'm not sure if Adaptec and XENIX will 
support the SyQuest drive.

Does anyone have any experience with this combination ?
