Wanted: public domain make(1)

Hello!  Does anyone know if there is a public domain version of make(1)
available anywhere?  I'd be willing to translate it from one dialect of C to
another (like I'm doing with LEX and YACC, which are in DECUS C), or even from
another language (Ratfor?) to C.  If anyone can provide any pointers to this,
I'd be a happy man.  Thanks!
