vi -x problem

The problem happens when editing a crypted file with 'vi -x' and the
crypted file is not small (>24K approximately).  The last part of
the file (about 10 lines or so) are not decrypted.  I am running
version 3.8 on UNIX 5.0.1 (USG).  Anybody encountered this problem
or know of a fix?
