What's the OBM good for?

I've been hearing bad things about the OBM.  Is there anything that it's
safe to use it for?   posibilities:
	*  dial out uucp	\  which is unsafe, or both?
	*  dial in uucp		/
	*  other dial out (me)
	*  non-uucp dial in (normal users)
Is this modem usable for anything?
