dialer routines

	I've been playing around with some 7300 dialer routines,
	including the recent one to call "time".  The problem that
	I have had is that they all seem to leave something messed
	up, because 'cu' chokes and incoming uucp fails after I
	use the dialer.  I can still send mail, which clears the
	problem and gets everything back to normal.  The question
	is ... what is the trick to dialing and then leaving the
	modem in it's ready state?
