Just a Calendar tidbit. I learned the hard way that if the
LOGNAME environmental variable is set for the Calendar program running
under smgr (as when it is evoked by pressing the <Msg> key when the
calendar icon pops up on the top of your screen), it will mess up the
Calendar program. Instead of looking for active alarms for the user
requesting it, it looks for active alarms for the user specified in
the LOGNAME variable, and if it cannot find any there, it says:
"Sorry, no active alarms yet for YYYYMMDDTTTT" (where the last is the
exact year/month/day/time or thereafter it was looking for active
alarms).
