libcurses problems

After going though a while with no answers to my inquiry I noticed
that I had made a typo and sent this question to the wrong group.  I
just goes to show that even veterens arn't perfect.

Anyway, does anyone out there know about any bugs with 3.51 version of
curses.  I have had 3.5 loade on my machine at work since I got it and
curses has treated me well.  But, I got a new machine for home with
3.51 on it, and several library routines weren't found and the
curses.h file was missing some defines.

A second question.  I have a modem connected to my 3B1 EIA board and
before I installed HDB on it, I had a normal getty on the line.  Well,
the modem whould redail about every 5 minutes.  ANyone know what the
fix whould have been if I didn't have a uugetty running on the line
now?
