Screen print

Just a quick question:
I want to write my own screen-print program to take better advantage of
my printer (the generic driver for Epson just doesn't do it on an LQ series..)
I haven't noticed any documentation on /usr/bin/sprint, but this appears
to be the program that's run when Shift+Print is pressed. I assume if I
replace it with a program that's compatable at the command-line level,
I should be all set. Does anyone know what the argument format for this
command is? (If any?)
Seems like this was discussed once before but I wasn't paying too much
attention at the time.
Please email responses and requests for the info, and I'll summarize if
there's enough interest.
