Awhile back I had asked whether anyone had successfully connected to The STORE
at 2400 baud; never received any response. :-(
So I did some experimenting and discovered how to do it.
This is an extract from my /usr/lib/uucp/L.sys file:

# shop is THE STORE!
#
# Only ONE of the groups should be enabled (i.e. no "#") depending which
# modem is finally made to function correctly. The OBM (ph0) does work, but
# 1200 baud is a pain.

One note: the modem whose serial rate is shown as 9600 (above) has an RS-232
DCE rate fixed at 9600 baud; the modem rate may be any of 2400,1200,300; this
is an ARK 24K. I use that modem to call the STORE at a "real" 2400 baud; the
"BREAK" is essential unless you call in at 1200 baud.
