Hi net.folks,
There is a bug in tiget(3) in the curses library, and it affects
the tput(1) command. A handful of capabilities added in System V Release
3.1 are unavailable to tiget(3), and they are:
sclk set clock
dclk delete clock
rmclk remove clock
cwin create window
wingo goto window
hup hangup
dial dial phone
qdial quick dial
tone tone dial
pulse pulse dial
hook flash hook
pause fixed pause
wait wait for tone
u0 user string 0
...
u9 user string 9
These are at the end of the table of strings, and they aren't
in my terminfo manual. The bummer, of cource, is that user-defined
strings aren't available as `tput u1'.
Tony Hansen @ AT&T has confirmed that this is indeed a bug,
and it has been fixed in System V Release 3.2. The source
code fix is supposed to be easy.
