BUG in Metalbase 3.1? (posted in comp.sources.misc)

There was a post to comp.sources.misc in January for a Unix-compatible
relational database... I have installed for use on a SUN 4 machine.

I am having trouble getting Metalbase to correctly ADD (mb_add routine)
and RECALL (mb_sel routine) records that have large number of fields
such as 10-12 fields... Metalbase seems to work for about 4 fields
but not for 10+ fields... I checked the source code and it has a constant
definition of 30 fields max (I assume this can be changed). Has anyone
had any trouble with this?? When I try recalling the record, Metalbase only
returns the LAST FOUR fields of the record and not all 10 of them...

I've tried emailing the author but it appears that his email addresss
is invalid (I tried both in the docs). Does anyone know his new email
address (Richid Jernighan is the author)?

Thanks in advance!
George
