Wanted: N-dimensional tsort

Does anyone out there in netland have an N-dimensional topological sort
routine, or can anyone supply pointers to algorithms?  I hate to
reinvent the wheel if it isn't necessary....  The application is
somewhat akin to generating a 3-dimensional map of the adventure or
zork databases.  Thanks in advance.
