dial-in & dial-out on SysIII/V modem

Not being on Usenet (or how to get to it's pathnames):

I am working on a login program that will function as a getty, but can
be "put to sleep" if that line is needed for dial-out (and nobody is logged
in, of course).  It is going to be for HP-UX, a System III based Unix.

If you are interested, send me mail and I'll send it to you when it's
