VeriLog (question)

Does anyone have any experience with the digital electronics
simulation program, VeriLog (on IRIS 4Ds)? It is distributed by
Cadence Design Systems.
It has been rumoured that some version of it is working on the IRIS
system but I need authentification of this. The distributors strongly deny
that there is useful working version or, at least, that there is no official
version which they support. This makes us a bit uneasy and some users are
suggesting that we purchase SparcStations to run the supported SUN version.
I don't like this option and would prefer to hear that some of you are
using VeriLog and are happy with its performance. Can anyone comment?
Note: If you could reply as soon as is permissible; purchase deadlines
ans all that jazz.
Thanks in advance,
