problems with the "at" command

It's that wacky "at" command:
I am running Sun O.S. 3.5 on a diskless node. Occasionally, I rlogin into
the server that I boot from, but when I try to ^D to get back, I get a
directory listing of my top level. Another ^D gets me another copy of
that listing, etc., etc. Note that the listing is of the files I used to
have on my top level (i.e. the ls command is showing me old, nonexistent
files.)
Several weeks ago, I was playing with the "at" command (I tried to do an
"ls" at 2pm) and now I have the problem mentioned above. In order to
logout from the server, I hit ^C before ^D.
Also, /usr/spool/at/past is empty on both the server and my node.
Since I am not a regular reader of this newsgroup, please email any
suggestions to me at ..!rutgers!soleil!grina
Thanks in advance,
Pete
