Building a 4/280.

In the next month, I will have "leftovers" of an upgraded 4/280 system.
Sun will cart off the system cabinet & cpu & ram when they put together
the 4/490 (basically a whole system) that replaces the 280 via an upgrade
from Sun.
This will leave me with the following hardware that I wish to use in a
4/280:
One xy 6250 tape drive & controller
Two xd (SMD-4) disk controllers
Three 892 Mbyte disks
One 230v expansion cabinet (76")
I would like to buy a 4/280 card cage & cpu (and some RAM) to use with the
above. I'll need to install the card cage into the expansion cabinet, as
well as the disks & tape and associated controllers. (Probably not me, a
qualified Sun tech will do it really)
Has anyone done a 4/280 piecemeal like this? I plan to use all Sun parts
& several re-sellers say they can supply them. I'd like to be sure of the
proper part numbers to use and whether this can actually be done with
little trouble (other than hefting that tape drive into the rack (-:).
