Is my pty console (a la TIOCCONS)

Is there some way to determine if your pseudo terminal has had an
ioctl(TIOCCONS...) run on it.  I have a need to determine if a shell is
running in a console window.  Actually I need to know if the shell is
running in an xterm that was invoked with the -C option.
