I recently posted a problem concerning my Sun Sparcstation SLC. Turns out
the problem is a SCSI bus problem. Sun is working on a fix for it. There
error I was getting was:
esp0: 0.0 data transfer failure
Stat=0x10<XZERO>, Intr=0x10<BUS>
Last state='UNKNOWN', Last cmd='dma tran_info'
DMA addr=0xff105000, last=0xff103000;Dma CSR=0x80000000
Mapped Dma Space:
Base = 0xff103000 Count = 0x2000
Transfer History:
Base = 0xff103000 Count = 0x2000
sd3: SCSI transport failed: reason 'reset': retrying command
Turns out, it depends on how many things you have on the bus, and it
happens both with Sun equipment and third party hardware. Thought I would
post this for information purposes.
