I recently had to replace the Computone Cluster Controller board with a
Corollary 8X4 mux card and terminal concentrators. The Computone product
couldn't do hardware handshaking. It works well with XON/XOFF devices but not
modems or printers with handshaking.
The Intelliport line has been used by our company for over a year both in-house
and in our customers machines. I've had good and bad results with that product
line. It depends on the machine and environment whether it works well or not.
I'd recommend against purchasing the Cluster Controller product until they get
it fixed.
