Internal modem as tty0

Thanks for the help on bootable devices and minor device numbers for
3.5" drives. I now have my 3.5" drive working properly and am
experimenting with the concept of building a boot disk.
Today's question involves using a generic Taiwanese internal 2400 bps
modem card as tty0 under SysV/AT. The modem is a more-or-less standard
internal modem using a 16450 at I/O address 0x3f8, IRQ4, etc. In
addition to the 16450 there are only two chips of any consequence, an
Intel LCC labled N89026, C1.3 8748, and an Intel 28pin DIP labeled
P89027, SZ091, V8010023. The only other distinguishing mark is a small
silk screened "ECD4, L7."
I would like to enable this as a login port and I would like to dial out
with cu and HDB uucico. Right now it doesn't quite work for either. Can
anyone tell me what I have to tell "ttypatch" and how I need to change
the dialer script?
Thanks in advance.
