GNU BISON is not "public domain" (unless you meant something else by
PD). GNU BISON is *free*, but protected by the GNU COPYRIGHT, which
requires that it *remain free*. This is not true with your typical PD
stuff (you can legally incorporate PD stuff into your for-hire work
and call it your own, for example).
The text of the GNU COPYRIGHT (which they call "COPYLEFT") can be
obtained from gnu at prep.ai.mit.edu (I hope I got that right...)
I'm picky about this, because I really appreciate what the Free
Software Foundation is up to, and I don't want misinformation spread
around.
