I found a wierd, but minor, bug in vi on our SGI Personal Iris running
3.2 and was wondering if this was common to all implementations of vi.

Enter a line which is longer than the width of your screen, ie 100
character line in a 80 char wide window. Now go to the end of the first
screen line and back up to the left a few characters. Go into i mode
and cursor to the right. You can go as far as the 1 column of the second
line but you cant go to the end of the logical 100 char line. I also
have this problem in if am in I mode. Oddly enough, this problem does not
occur in a or A mode.

Anyone on a non SGI unit have this same bug?
