Viri on unix

I was wondering if anybody had any information about viruses, time bombs and
trojans on the unix system.  If anybody does It would be a great help.

I need information about it because my dad knows a programmer and he is 
debugging a program source written for a Unix system for Viruses and needs 
information about it.
