Mailers

I was recently asked to look for a mailer that will work on our Novell
LAN, as well as on our SCO Unix boxes;

is this possible?

cc:Mail apparently has a gateway (a very $$$ one!) that requires a 
dedicated PC (perhaps a DesqView window?) to talk to the TCP/IP units.

i'm not interested in paying $3000 for the gateway, and dedicating a PC;

any other ideas?
