How do I allow remote root with NFS ?

Can anyone out there help ?
I am trying to allow an NFS partition to be mounted 'trusted' (or what
ever the correct term is).
On SunOS I would put -root=machine after the file system in
/etc/exports, but this seems to have no effect in ISC 2.2. The manuals
do not help as they discuss only the use of sysadm (which I also tried
as a last resort).
The system is a 386/486 running ISC 2.2 Workstation Developer.
Help !!! Thanks
