it suffices to make modern modems work. my HST uses CTS to tell
the computer to stop sending data, and the computers use RTS
to tell the modem to stop sending data.
(i know it for sure, someone just downloads x11r4 from my machine....)
who cares about recommendations from a standard if it doesn't work
with a given hardware ? ;-)
