Wyse 60 terminal + VP/ix + ESIX sVrD

Has anyone gotten VP/ix to run under ESIX System V release D with a
Wyse 60 terminal?

I have VP/ix installed under ESIX, and it runs fine on the console, but
when I run VP/ix from a Wyse 60, it acts like it has the wrong terminfo.
The terminal runs just fine under ESIX.  vi and other display-oriented
programs work ok.  It's just when running DOS software under VP/ix that
causes problems.

Character output to the display is messy, and keystrokes from the keyboard
are not recognized properly (mostly the arrow and function keys, but there
are problems with other keys too).  I am testing with an application that
draws menus using text and graphic characters, and it appears as if the
terminal keeps getting confused as to the position of the cursor.  Pieces
of text end up where they're not supposed to be.  When I try to make a menu
selection (by specifying the item number, i.e., A-F) another choice, or
no choice, is picked instead.

I have the terminal set up as a "straight and simple" Wyse 60, using the
wy60 terminfo description.  We have a Wyse 60 with the PC-compatible
keyboard.  When I tried having the Wyse 60 emulate a "PC TERM", as
Wyse calls it, I couldn't even log into ESIX; it acted like the baud
rate was wrong.

As I understand it, when VP/ix starts up, it is supposed to look at the
TERM environment variable (which is set to "wy60") and look for a
terminal description file by the same name in /usr/vpix/term.  This file
exists, and looks uncorrupted, but I don't know if VP/ix is using it.
It acts like it used some other file instead...

I called both ESIX and Interactive technical support, and so far, neither
has been helpful (ESIX seems to be trying harder, however...).

Anyone know what to do about this?  I would REALLY appreciate some help,
considering this system needs to be installed by Wednesday, and we MUST
have VP/ix working to run an important application.
