End-of-Tape not seen/SCSI/Interactive 2.2

The drive works fine except in multi-volume copies, where it does
not recognize end-of-tape.  The drive hangs with the actvity light
on at the end of the media.  Could the problem be in Interactive's
driver, or is there some drive option that must be selected with
jumpers?
