Multiple tcp/ip cards in one PC

We have a request for support that I'm having trouble with, and I thought
I'd ask the net. Basically, we have some people who want to run two tcp/ip
cards concurrently in one PC. I believe they want one to be a hot standby
for the other... it's not a gateway or anything like that. The TCP software
is Interlan's, and the cards are NP600s. Any ideas?
