ALG: resubmitted in shar format

I have reposted the sources to "alg", this time in shar
(bourne shell archive) format.   Sorry for the mixup, I didn't
realize that many systems don't have Berkeley "ar".
If you still can't get anywhere with this file, send me a letter
and I'll try uuencode-ing it and mailing to you.
