/usr/lib/aliases

I need to establish a number of mailing lists on my system.
And it appears the best way to do this is to create a set of aliases
for each mailing list in /usr/lib/aliases.
Is this the "best" way to accomplish what I want?
Or would you recommend a different approach?

Any comments much appreciated.
