My company is looking for available information on research into the
area of network-based fault-tolerance. In particular, we are looking
for information on ways of replicating data, perhaps at the level of
a block device, perhaps at the level of a file system, or perhaps at
the level of some types of applications, and of using this replication
as a means of providing higher availability and/or fault tolerance in
the presence of system or network failures.
We would very much appreciate references to any useful articles, papers
or books on the subject, or comments from people who have had experience
in such things.
I would prefer to receive responses by mail, though network postings
will be okay, as well.
