Anonymous uucp archives

(I'm going to send this info to comp.archives as soon as I get a copy
of the database format from the moderator, but in the mean time, I thought
some of you might like to have some of the stuff I have collected.)  

I have set up tah386 to provide some sources via anonymous uucp.  Here
is a sample Systems entry:

tah386 Mo-Fr0-15 ACU 19200 19135395465 "" \r ogin: guest

Please do not call between 3PM and 12 Midnight or on weekends as I
need the modem during those periods.  My machine will accept calls
at 1200, 2400, 9600 (PEP), or 19200(PEP).  If you are calling at 9600
or 19200, you MUST use UUCP spoofing.  To retrieve the index file
below, you could use the command:

        uucp tah386!/usr/spool/uucparchive/Index ~/Index

You must use the full pathname for the files on tah386.  Wildcards are
allowed for file transfers.   All of the stuff here except the GNU
binutils and gcc sould be useful for XENIX V/386 users.  Since I do
not have access to a '286 box, I make no claims about the usability of
the software on those machines.  I know that GNU Emacs will NOT work
on a '286.  

Other packages that I will be adding to the archives in the near
future include RCS, Smail2.5 and pathalias.  Here is the current

                  Archives available on tah386

The following is a list of the software available via uucp from
tah386.  All listed files are under /usr/spoool/uucparchive.  All
files are compressed tar files except this file and compress.tar.  If
you have any touble accessing the archives or have questions, send
mail to ksuvax1!eecea!tah386!terry, and I will try to help.
