Internet vs .edu

[Jean-Francois Lamy]

Seems that there are a fair number of Internet sites that still don't
grok .edu and .com addresses for sites that are not physically on the
Internet (i.e. they don't query a name server or pass messages to
somebody else).

Has some sort of a deadline been set?
