Holy interrupts BatMan!

So there I am editing a program (of course). I hear a click from the modem,
glance over, and the DTR LED is off, meaning I just disconnected from someone.
I look back and the disk LED (my hack) is on, solid! I try to type and nothing
happens. Arrggg! I slam a bunch of keys on the keyboard. As I'm about to press
the reset button, all of a sudden everything started working again. I have
come home from work several time to find the machine still locked up.
My guess is that there is some kind of serial interrupt lock up going on. This
is a Trailblazer on a Combo Board. How many people have had this happen before?
How many people have found better results with the TB on tty000 instead?
