pathalias problem: out of memory type error

I'm getting the same error frequently. I have found that if I wait until the
system is relatively quiet (<.20 according to your sysinfo), I can *usually*
get the paths file to make, but I am only able to do the *usa* maps. I have
tried doing an entire set of maps, and I barely get the files unshared before
it errors out. I too, have a machine with 2M of memory. I have seen the
allocated 2460k of memory error once, but just figured some went wrong and
it was a fluke. I have a feeling it has a lot to do with the fact that you
have 3.5M of memory.
