3-D geometry/graphing software... where?

I am searching for some proficient 3-D graphing software which is
public-domain or, at worst, very cheap. The actual hardware specific
drivers are not as important as the processing algorithms (projection/
rotation/line-hiding/etc ). Does anybody have some or know the
where-abouts of some?
Reply Email direct, please.
Thanks in advance,
