disabling L1-a

Have I missed something?  It seems to me that it doesn't matter that you
can or cannot disable L1-a.  I've discovered by accident that if you
unplug the keyboard on a 3/50, a 3/60, or a 3/180 and then plug it in
again you'll find yourself at the monitor.
